I'm interviewing Katherine Heigl tomorrow. Today she is in the media because she has just donated $1 million to help get animals spayed and neutered in Los Angeles, a very noble cause. Heigl is a big dog lover and earlier this year she was awarded the ASPCA's Presidential Service Award for her work in animal rights. I also love dogs and cats and feel like crying every time I read figures on the numbers who are euthanized each year simply because no-one wanted them any more. Good on her for using her Hollywood profile to promote the rights of animals.
